A Journey Through Deep Underground House and Techno
A lifelong music enthusiast, Hugh Harry's journey into electronic music began in the suburbs of Puerto Rico, where he first discovered his passion as a B-boy and vinyl collector. Immersing himself in the early sounds of House and Techno, he also explored various alternative styles, which helped shape his eclectic musical palette.
In his early 20s, Hugh began experimenting with the art of DJing, quickly gaining a reputation in the burgeoning local rave scene as a key selector on the urban side. Starting with breakbeat and electro, genres that resonated with his urban roots, Hugh evolved into a versatile DJ known for his ability to deliver marathon sets at premier venues. As a resident DJ, he played a pivotal role in shaping the sound and taste of Puerto Rico's underground scene for years to come. From deep, dark house and techno to funky nu-disco, soulful, and melodic house, Hugh's focus has always been on quality and originality over mainstream hits.
As the founder of Z Boys alongside Christopher Alexander, Hugh paved the way for what is now Z Boys Music. As a music creator and producer, his diverse influences are evident in his productions, whether as a solo artist or in acclaimed collaborations that have resonated worldwide. From chart-topping tracks to deeply rooted underground anthems, Hugh Harry has navigated every corner of the intricate landscape of electronic music.
